Wycombe District Council will be holding a pre-planning consultation on 2nd December with regards to creating an asphalt glider launch area on the northside of the airfield. This will result in changes to regular traffic patterns. More info at wycombe.gov.uk/wapconsultation
This page is to do with Wycombe Air Park's proposal to introduce a Global Navigation Satellite System instrument approach to Runway 24. It is not to do with the changes to glider operations and circuit traffic proposed by Wycombe District Council.
We are consulting with the local community and stakeholders in line with our commitment to being a responsible neighbour. It is also consistent with existing UK Civil Aviation Authority published guidance on Airspace Change Proposals (CAP725) to consult with stakeholders where changes are proposed to existing approach operations.
A copy of the Consultation Documentation is available at the bottom of this page.
The Consultation is now closed to responses and ran from 1st March - 7th June 2017.
There were informal 'drop-in' sessions at Wycombe Air Park on the following dates for members of the community to meet the consultation team:
Saturday 25th March 2017 - 11am to 2pm
Tuesday 25th April 2017 - 4pm - 6:30pm
The Consultation Feedback Report was published on 10th November 2017. This document summarises the feedback received.
The ACP Formal Submission to the Civil Aviation Authority was submitted on 6th February 2018. A copy can be found here: https://www.caa.co.uk/Commercial-industry/Airspace/Airspace-change/Decisions/Wycombe-Air-Park-GNSS-IAP-Rwy-24/
We are currently awaiting a decision from the CAA about whether this project can proceed. This page will be updated with more information when available.
